About Vince
Vince Rabago is an Arizona native, born and raised in Cochise County. He attended the University of Arizona on a Regent’s Academic Scholarship and graduated with a degree in Political Science in 1989. Vince attended the University of San Diego School of Law on the Dean’s Outstanding Scholar Award and received his law degree in 1993.
Vince is a career prosecutor. He worked in San Diego as a state prosecutor for the California Attorney General for more than 8 years. In 2002, Vince returned to Arizona and became an Assistant Attorney General for the Arizona Attorney General’s office. Since 2005, Vince has investigated and prosecuted business fraud cases for the AG’s Consumer Protection unit. On January 15, 2010, Vince stepped down from his position as Assistant Arizona Attorney General to run for Arizona Attorney General.
Based on his experience in Arizona and California as a prosecutor, Vince regularly teaches about constitutional law and the death penalty at the University of Arizona Law School.
As a state prosecutor in California and Arizona, Vince worked on criminal, civil, or constitutional matters at all levels, including the Arizona Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, District Court, the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
A lifelong Democrat, Vince was elected Chairman of the Pima County Democratic Party in 2007, after serving as a county officer. In August of 2008, the Arizona Democratic Party recognized Vince Rabago as the Outstanding County Chair in the State. In 2009, Vince served as a Vice Chair of the Arizona State Democratic Party.
Vince is married to Kristie Rabago and has two children. In their free time, the Rabago family enjoys camping and hiking in Arizona’s great outdoors.
